HEKPO 0 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) Hi trere!Playn' Dayz Ive always wondered "how will I recognize friendly players if it was a real live?"Here's the answer coming from my experience playing airsoft (what a pity this gadget helps only at night)this is a IR marker which makes flashing lights which can be seen while using Nightvision. Different teams can use this markers to recognize friendly or not. But what will you do if both sides has IR markers? every marker has а control knobs to change the frequency of flashing. I guess guys who played Arma 2 know what i mean. And here's the link af testing those strobe markers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ti3GJo12p0With best regardsAlex Chernyy Edited February 11, 2014 by HEKPO
randomtask 18 Posted February 11, 2014 Need night vision first. This or IR Chem lights. Cheaper and don't need batteries. But yes I see your point. We used IR Strobes like these so our air support could see us at night.
cywehner1234 582 Posted February 11, 2014 These were in arma so I dont see why they would be hard to impliment. The models for the nightvision is already made up too.
carcinovich 156 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) I have always liked the idea of using spray-painted rags and/or handkerchiefs, tied around the arm, as a ghetto identifier of who is in-team and who isn't. Edited February 11, 2014 by carcinovich
terminal_boy 860 Posted February 11, 2014 Likelihood of ITAR restricted US SoF equipment in in rural Chernarus?
-MadTommy 367 Posted February 11, 2014 Big no from me. I don't think NVG should ever be in game. They probably will, but IMO that would be a mistake. Chem lights & flares, yes.. but none of this hi-tech gear should be in Chernarus.

NVGs would be more common than the M4A1, Blaser B95, Colt Python, FNX-45, cowboy hats, PayDay and clown masks, and a lot of the westernized food/clothing, because NVGs are actually used by Russia, as well as smaller states in lower quantities. May be there will be a lot of answers... I hope they the story's questions to some extent while keeping it vague for the most part. However, relevance to historical events in the game universe's timeline would be cool. Would it not be interesting to find books/artifacts from the old Chernarussian Civil War which is depicted in the T-34 tank/men with PPSh-41 statues?
