xLethal Recon 4 Posted June 24, 2012 I was just shown this mod and love it, it seems so fun and i'm thinking about buying it from steam. So I downoaded the free version of ArMa 2 to see if I can run it and I can but only on very low. Is the game still worth it if i can only run very low? Aitloian 11 Posted June 24, 2012 yeah if your running it on very low in a single person game you'll have no chance of running it online which is even higher demand. Sorry it is a great game and is worth an updgrade.
Greenhound 33 Posted June 24, 2012 Well the game is beautiful even on low, I won't lie, I'm not sure why Battlefield is considered to have "great graphics" when saying ArmA2 has "great graphics" is an understatement
privatewolf 59 Posted June 24, 2012 Greenhound, Battlefield 3 is full of particles, detail that makes it look realistic, and more particles..ArmA 2 on the other hand is not really full of particles but still has some of it, but the objects in chernaurus is more than 1,000,000 including the trees, so when you load the map you load all the 1,000,000 objects. redreversed 2 Posted June 24, 2012 I play on very low, and Im okay with it really even though I would rather better graphics.
daze23 549 Posted June 24, 2012 did you mess with the advanced settings at all? you can probably turn some things up, just make sure AA and Post Processing are offalso know that Arma 2 Free only has low res textures, so what you're seeing isn't representative of the full game
xLethal Recon 4 Posted June 24, 2012 @Aitloian- how do the graphics look to you on very low? Can you see far still?@daze23- Yeah i heard that before. I think i'm going to wait till it goes on sale on steam and pick it up for cheaper. Maybe even think of getting a better graphics card.
Kuckeli 9 Posted June 24, 2012 Its pretty much up to personal preference in my opinion. Are you fine with playing on lower graphics? Its up to you really. Its a shame that i lag so much i elektro, even with a 670 so i usually play with medium / high. Still looks pretty good on lower graphics imo.
Scotto 3 Posted June 24, 2012 Nothing wrong with low graphics...running everything on: off and very low myself. Although i am buying a new rig so i can play it at max =D
7-75 callaghan 43 Posted June 24, 2012 Graphics settings matter in terms of spotting and marksmanship. There is more information on this subject than I can currently be bothered to post, sorry, but yes is makes a difference, as does basic physical screen size.
