Unplayable lag when approaching big cities?

Recommended Posts

I haven't done anything to my graphics settings since last patch, and since release i've been playing steadily on "High" with "normal" postprocessing (the one everyone seems to complain about) but recently when entering Cherno, Electro or Svetlo the game slows to an unplayable crawl for me. I've tried dropping everything to "low" and it makes little or no difference.

Anyone else experiencething this? Is there a fix out there?

Just opened the game after a few weeks. Spawned on the east coast and started making my way towards Elektro. First thing i noticed was lack of lag when zooming around the area. I was in for a surprise when I approached the city tho. As soon as i started seeing first buildings, the unbearable lag started. Game is unplayable like this.

Welcome to DayZ where the cities lag, and the wildy is boring.

I played the game since the start, and this lag is on a whole different level.

Thanks for the link, Sinphaltimus! Think I'm going to lay low for a few days and wait for it to get sorted :)

Noticing more lag too, it was laggy in cities, now it lags everywhere else too. They are working on a fix.
