Primary, Secondary and Melee Weapons

How much do you think it would throw things off if we were able to carry a Primary weapon, a secondary weapon and a melee weapon and simply choose which one we want to have equipped at any point in time.

Before you reply, get the whole idea of "balancing" out of your head from most other games and focus on if it would actually degrade or enhance the experience in DayZ specifically. After all, we would be able to equip such options in real life.

I actually really like this idea.

I was running around the other day with my Enfield, and I wanted to make a silent kill with my axe, but couldn't switch to it without dropping my rifle. Would be nice to be able to just put my axe on one side of my pack, and my rifle on the other...

I'm assuming this is the plan; we know the devs want to redo the entire inventory system, so that's probably coming. Since they say they're tackling the hard stuff first, it's safe to assume it'll be along in its good time.

Rocket has stated in interviews that he wants to change the inventory system completely, so this might happen

What if you can add Holster for pistol to your tool belt(so you can move one pistol to your tool belt) and the same(holster for rifle) for one rifle(so you can switch between melee weapons or between rifles. On the other hand don't allow hiding rifles in backpacks.

In similar way how hatchet works. But just with rifles and pistols.
