Thanks buddy, I'm really glad you liked it =) We wait for people with guns to fire although sometime if they point a gun at a newb in a non-defensive way ( e.g. looks like a robbery) we open fire. At that last part you should probably have headed due south all the way to the beach and in cover of the dunes, before doing the flanking, then they likely wouldn't have seen you and probably thought you fled. As it were they guessed what you were trying to do because they could see you flanking when you ran across that open stretch.
