Heart is pounding - a sniper attack....

Well, I have dayz about a week now. I have tried a few times to get to visit all the main locations. Yesterday I made it to Balota airfield. Today I log in. I spend a good 5 minutes camped out on the edges, scouting with my freshly painted mosin + scope. No movement. Everthing looks good.

 

I make my way (very cautiously) to the airtower (crawling/crouching). Make a little dash to get inside. All looks good.cautiously inside, head up, crouched up the stairs...and WIZZzzzz, breaking glass! A bullet over the head. Hit the floor, heart pounding. Crawl downstairs. Pulled out my magnum, prepared for a rush in. Nothing. 3 minutes pass. Nothing. I decided it was time to make a dash out, fast hook to the left, hit the ground. Again another Wiz, passed my head.

 

 

I crawl from bush to bush. Gun shots all arround me (nothing hitting). I make it to better cover and then the dreaded message.....

 

"You are unconscious".

 

Pressed escape and was going to hit respawn....but I decided, wait. Not dead yet.

2 minutes pass, and I come too.

 

Load up my magnum, playing possum. Assuming the sniper would come in to finish the job.

 

Nothing. 

 

2-3  more minutes pass. I continue my crawl out and into the woods. I escaped !!

Checking my gear, I see my green raincoat is ruined, along with all the contents inside. No bleeding (strange).

Does that mean my water bottle took the bullet impact?

 

 

Anyway, heart pounding. I love it !

I wish you had an "enemy at the gates" moment and counter sniped the shooter. He should have finished the job. I hope you run into him again and return the favor, and fill him up with lead.

LOL...omg so it was you???....i was in Balota yesterday sniped a guy that i already saw him like 20 min ago, afraid of everything and everyone, saw that same guy getting into the control airfield tower, didn't shoot it right away, i had 2 chances there, or getting on is way out, or try to get him inside the house, first shot was for the window since i saw the guy inside of it, then the second i knew the guy was comming out or was going to make combat log, my luck, he went out.

You got me there because i though you where going to make combat log, so i saw you running out try another shot, i know i hit it, then saw you going to the bushes, try to snipe you on the middle of the bushes, no luck...

Presumed that you where killed, i didn't ( and i don't do this often ), check if i made a kill or not, there was a 2nd clan mate with me with a M4, it was him who saw you first.

 

 

Better be careful mate, not a second chance next time ;)

Now now, that's knowing to much isn't it ;)

But i can tell you this, most of the snipers know this place as a good sniping place on that airfield.

i think that glass in radio tower is pretty buged for straight shoot...

That's why airfields aren't worth it. Always looted, always have some camping bandit there. Don't feed the bandits go elsewhere!
