Does it matter which server you use?

A lot of the servers ive used have

DayZ - {name of server etc}

Then some just have

UK {name of server}

Are they all valid servers to use as long as they are running Battleye?

I dont want to be on a server and get banned cos its not approved or something.

It doesnt matter normally you pay extra to name it whatever maybe its easier to find for the filter noobs :P

The reason we ask is we thought only registered servers had the DayZ - (name of server) tag

and we weren't sure if we were going to get in trouble playing on the other type without the DayZ - bit, if they aren't legit

Yes it does matter, you want to use a server close to you so that your ping response is low.

When it gets dark you can use a server over to the west of your location to play in the daylight, if your in the UK choose a UK server if you can, then when it gets dark use a USA server, bear in mind that the ping response will be a lot higher.

Also Tents and vehicles stay on the server you place/save them

Are all servers in the list safe to play on

i.e. are they are "all" registered servers?

Not that we are doing anything but playing but we didnt want to be playing on an unregistered server by accident and get into trouble by association if the server was dodgy.
