Internet drops after opening six launcher

I'm having so much problems trying to play this mod. Every time i open six launcher the internet on my computer drops, im using wireless btw. and then ive to turn my broadband box on and off just to get it to connect back to my computer. thanks for any help.

Btw ive tried the other methods but steams giving me problems with trying to open CO. ( ive done the whole launching as admin and opening Arma 2 and OA before ive done all this ). it just shows a black command box then goes away and nothing happens

Don't bother with the launcher - it does the same thing to me as well, among other things. Just download everything manually, it's actually much easier.

i tried that but steam wont let me open CO, it just opens a black command box then closes right away. tried the whole run as admin too

This is related to the way SIX Launcher gets information from gamespy. (And for all the DayZCommander lovers: It does exactly the same. :) )

Both tools use gslist.exe to get information from gamespy. All those UDP connections may either crash your router, or trigger some weired spam protection and therefore terminate your internet connection completly.

Now there are some possibilities for you.

1. Use the "Only rely on serverlist provided by the SU Portal".

2. Use the new SIX from http://Play.withSIX.com

With that new tool the retreival of servers has been improved drastically and also you have the option to limit the amount of parallel queries to gamespy.
