How did I die?

Recommended Posts

Today I log into DayZ on a near empty server only to see the message "You are dead" on my screen

What has me wondering is how I died and some strange stuff happened to me later on, I remember myself logging out in a safe place, safe from both zombies and players. I was well fed and well hydrated and had many survival items that took a while to get. I know it wasn't a player because I logged out in an empty server, it couldn't have been a zombie unless zombies can now climb up three story buildings and automatically detect anybody logging out, I wasn't sick or anything either. So after I "died" I thought it was just a bug and my character would be alive and well in another server but when I joined a different server I spawned in a weird blue area and my character (new) was red starving and red thristy and about 5 seconds after I opened tab to find nothing in my inventory, I fell unconcious.

Just wondering if there is a known cause so I can avoid it in the future :)

The only deaths that annoy me are deaths without a cause.

This event was so weird, has it happened to any of you guys?

ok i'm taking a guess here, but if it's like arma, the game literally drops everything onto the map, because of this items can move like tents and vehicles - more of which later I guess. this I think can lead to death in buildings and steep inclinations (you were dropped into the game world and fell through the floor to your death) - in other words learn from your experience, get used to the unexpected death and never log out other than a ground floor / level piece of ground and you should be golden..
