Well, I've played this game for quite a while now, I've met players of many different caliber, but a few days ago I finally got accepted into a group through the power of stupidity and laughter.

The day started off as normal (me running around naked, fearless and weird) I came across two gentlemen who were holding up people.

 

I stated the fact that killing me was pointless and lame, ignoring their authority and running past them and encouraging them to kill me ( my fearless nature won their respect)

 

After some conversation, I convinced them to allow me the role of guard dog. 

 

 

Upon reaching electro, I was accepted into the fray of 5, again my weird and fearless nature won the rest of the group over .

 

But the drama had just begun, our food supplies hit a dangerous level, and our quest turned to cherno for help. We powered to cherno dangerously low on food, scouring buildings, the tide turned and we were back in form

 

Along the way we a varying amount of players 

 

The day ended well, everyone was well fed

 

If you're one of these people who think good players don't exist, then you're wrong and probably going the wrong way about the game.

Some tips 

 

• COMMUNICATE! No one trusts a silent player ( this is by far the most important aspect of DayZ

 

• Be yourself, but if you're naturally unlikeable then maybe you're still fucked

 

• Sort your audio out! Ffs I hate players that have a mic on and a television too loud! Audio feedback is a KOS in my book!

 

 

• If you're 100% new, watch some videos on dayz, long time players don't want to spend time teaching you to crouch.

 

• ​​Never confuse surrender with flip the bird! 

 

• Go naked, the less they can take the less they will harass you! In my experience (this might not appeal to some)

 

• In courage them to be and arsehole and shoot you if you have nothing (this is a risky method, but can show a player true colours)

 

• Offer to be a unarmed pack mule of decoy to earn trust

 

• If you're chick, specify it instantly, a few times player will shoot women thinking their kids 

 

• If you have nothing, and an armed player wants to handcuff you, get the fuck out of there!
