Personal Hosted Server

Hi,

 

I've been searching the net for the passed week and I cannot find any definitive guide on how to host your own DayZ standalone server.

 

I have a data centre with a number of static IPs and VM servers which I would like to start hosting on.

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

 

I would need the following info:

 

* OS - Linux / Windows

* Software - Steam / other

* Network config - ports / QoS / etc

* Licencing - If needed

* Any other useful / relevant info / tips

Im pretty sure this isn't an option currently, but will be at some point down the road. This kinda goes with private hives, which aren't available yet, but will be at some point.

You can only have a server hosted by an officially sanctioned host, such as Vilayer and Gamingdeluxe.

Any ideas when privately hosted servers will be allowed? Maybe when it's not in alpha?  :(

 

Does anyone know how to become an official DayZ host? Our data centre currently hosts a lot of systems for telephone companies and electricity companies, so it would definitely has the bandwidth to host some quality game servers.

 

I convinced the boss the other day to allow a few VMs for gaming, so if it takes off I'm sure we can expand and host a lot more...
