Crash To Desktop when I attempt to join a server?

I looked around but I haven't seen any other posts with the same issue. I can start DayZ (SA) and browse the servers, go to options tab,etc but when I join a server ( I get to the please wait message and am able to hear sounds) the game crashes with the 'DayZ has stopped working' message. Wat do? Will post additional details if required.

I should mention that I was actually able to join a server last night, but the night before I had the same problem.

Same problem, has only started tonight, at first I was overheating but no fix for me so far

My problem seems to have fixed its self after joining another server and rejoining my regular one

Nah that isn't working for me. It's a battleye issue is all I know and it affects me to every server I join. Always CTD.

Solved it. C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\DayZ Delete the BE Folder in this location.

yes this does fix it i fixed it with this workaround a few days ago :)

 

manually delete battleye folder contents from dayz steam folder and verify game cache. works.
