liljestrand 0 Posted February 6, 2014 I recently found out about this game so I have no history of playing the mod and only have about 3 hours into the standalone. The first couple times i started out I couldn't find anything and eventually died to zombies while trying to fist fight them. I tend to stick to the lower pop servers just so i can get a feel of everything. Well last night things were actually going pretty well. Found a huge backpack and found lots of random supplies. I made my way to electro i think it was (still dont really know the areas but it looked familar from a video ive seen). The oh s@#t moment came when I went to go into a store and heard a bullet bounce off something near me. I can say this is the first time a game has actually made me jump. I was able to run off and find cover so I'm assuming it was a sniper looking to pick people off. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
PiLLZ 55 Posted February 6, 2014 yeah most likely, unless you punched a wall and had a bullet sound FX, most bandits will hang out in coastal towns looking for easy prey so they can just resupply without having to look for anything since new spawns happen to be around the east or south coast, anyways, look for supplies, get yourself an axe, guns are a bit harder to come by now since they are working on balancing loot. Drink, eat, stay healthy and have fun, most encounters always gonna be tense, if you have a weapon and happen to see some one take the gun out to signal that you mean business you dont have to kill no one but always be aware of other peoples intentions and above all else have fun. To the OP, you would make the developers smile right now cause thats what they want you to feel, feel like its real life and jump!!!! Sounds like it was most likely either you hitting something with your fist or a blunt object or another player near you doing the same. Also I know the Log out timer exist now but I bet he still tried to log out. lolbeen playing the mod for years and the SA for as long as its been out... no matter which one i play my hair still stands up on my arms when im startled esp if im traveling alone without the team. The reason I assumed it was a sniper was because i was in the middle of a road not close enough to be hitting anything. I was running to the store on the north? side of electro? I think.
