USB Mic doesn't work on dayz

Hi,

i have been playing Dayz for a while now, but one thing is beginning to annoy me and that is my mic doesn't work. the mic is a USB Turtle beach P11. i have both full games arma 2 and OA but I have them on disk from arma anniversary edition would that change weather i can speak to someone on dayz through direct communication? my mic works fine when im on Skype and teamspeak. i can hear people when they are speaking to me through direct communication but they dont hear me.

Right click on the speaker in the lower right of your screen and go to Recording Devices. Make sure that the correct microphone is selected as your default device (programs like Skype and Teamspeak seem to not rely on what windows has to say your default device is).

Make sure its set as default in your playback options

 

 

Right click speaker in bottom right > click Playback Devices > Find USB mic > right click and find set as default > Profit.

I'm using a 4-gamers Sony Playstation mic (USB) and it works fine.
