Several russian weapons that Id like to see in Dayz

Wrong, the map is actually  from a real life location in the Czech Republic.

Yes its true that the map is loosely based on a real location in the Czech Republic, but the fact still remains that Chernarus is a place thats supposed to be a part of the ex Soviet Union and is also located somewhere in the borders of the ex Soviet Union. The people of Chernarus are also russian speakers.

Did you not read the post just a few back?

This isn't the Czech Republic. Its nowhere near the CZR.

Yes, I'm aware that it's not the Czech Republic, but the area is based off of it. Even if it were further east there would still be a chance of German WW2 weapons. They did make it all the way to Moscow and people would collect German guns as souvenirs from the war, especially the Luger, which would be another great gun to add to the game.

I may add the SR-3 to my list now that I see a growing popularity trend of it. The TKB is a brand new firearm to me lol. Never have heard of such a thing. Thank you for showing me quite an interesting design of a firearm.

Again, Loot Table Dilution.  Again, I don't think we need several guns that do the exact same thing but need different skins and animations that soaks up valuable Dev time.  Maybe pick one of those, but it seems like the most realistic Russian/Soviet SMG's that could/should be in the game you missed - the PPSh and the Bizon.  And honestly I don't even know if we need them.  If we want to go the Czech route, we could say Skorpion.  Again, do we need them?

I'm all for the Tokarev, but then problems of more ammo types that only work for one gun crop up.  When they inevitably add weapons using 9mm Para how choked will players get once they find the Tokarev, then the common 9mm Para but can't load it?  No, they need to find the 9mm TT.  And if we add some of the SMG's, we'd also have to add the 9mm Makarov rounds further confusing the issues.

Just saying - most of those are cool weapons, but do we really need them?  Want, sure.  But need them?

So? Theres a Python, which i doubt we're going to see .357 guns. I would be more than happy with a Tokarev in place of it. And the TT doesn't use "9mm TT"...

And about 9mm Makarov "Further confusing the issues," there are far more Makarov's in Russia than any other pistol. In addition this was the Warsaw pact's standard pistol round and dozens of weapons use it. We could have the Stechkin, Makarov, PM-63, and more.

But the "I want it" Ppsh club is growing in numbers, abd since the Tokarev uses the same 7.62x25 round, i don't see why the pair shouldn't be added, although a PPS-43 would be more realistic.
