No logout timer for me?

Alright, So after updating my game i started up dayz like usual. Start up was longer than usual. When i joined a server I had all my gear from previous version, I was in the spot i logged out in on the previous version, and when i logged out there was no logout timer! The server was on the version i was playing and updated! (This may seem like a thrill for some but i just wanna be a law biding citizen of Dayz)

You were standing defenseless in that spot for 30 seconds AFTER you logged out, you don't get to watch.

As stated, you won't see the logout timer on your scree. But your character in game will sit down and remain on the server for the 30 s. Just be a little more careful in logging out and you should be fine.

But was i supposed to keep my gear? And spawn in the same spot?

ya we all kept our gear and stayed in same spot. why wouldn't we?
