Why are the map name in english if the sign names are in cyrilic?

Recommended Posts

Why?

I would think that the local maps would be in cyrilic, and it would make it easier to match the sign names up to the map names :P

I use steam's in-game browser to access the avidblur map. Love it. I don't even have a need for in-game maps anymore, even if they show my location directly.

In-game maps still give you the ability to place a waypoint which tells you which direction to go and how far away it is. Immensely helpful.

In Real life, the military has a map for EVERYWHERE.

In game, the map is defined by the map maker (BIS), they did this to make it more accessible. At this point, there is no way for Rocket to "fix" it.

I dont like the idea that I need to like alt-tab out of the game to use a map. I'd prefer just to have one in game that I can actually understand compared to what is written on signs
