Problem with the Mosin loading

Just wondering what I'm doing wrong or if I've found a bug.  I was able to load five rounds into the Mosin so that after each shot my character would automatically load the next round, today though I can only chamber one round at a time and every time I fire I need to press Tab and drag another round over to the gun. All that's changed is that I've spray painted the rifle and put a better condition scope on it.
