I have 2 boxes i run Day Z on.
The closest thing i got to your POS system is my POS Crapple BookPro
i7 HD4000  1280x800 8GB RAM & 5400rpm drive
Yeah crapple.  But it runs.

Start off.

DayZ.cfg

3D_Performance=93750;

FSAA=0;

postFX=0;

GPU_MaxFramesAhead="1";

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead="1";

HDRPrecision=0;

vsync=0;

AToC=0;

SWLayresCount=0;

PipQuality=0;

PPAA=0;

Ok next part.

yourname.DayZProfile

ansiFilter=0;

TexQuality=1;

TexMemory=1;

useWBuffer=0;

tripleHead=0

mouseSmoothing=0;

shadingQuality=0;

shadowQuality=0;

headBob=0;

FloatingZoneArea=0;

sceneComplexity=100000;

shadowZDistance=100;

viewDistance=1000;    // play with this add 100 or so each time till you find a sweet spot.  No less than 1000 no more than 2000.

preferredObjectViewDistance=1000;  //same as above. But make sure it is EQUAL or Higher than viewDistance

terrainGrid=12.5;     // other options to test.  32.5 & 50.

bloom=1;  // or 0

rotblur=0;

Those are my Crapple settings so far..  i would say i get 30+ fps outside.  20-30fps in towns like Elektro.

Steam Shortcut settings. for my box.. they will not all match yours.. (CPU, Mem & Vram is different than mine i am sure.)
Steam > DayZ Properties > Set Launch Options

-nosplahs -noPause -world=empty -cpuCount=2 -exThread=3 maxMem=7168 -maxVram=512

My roommate is running it on a 64-bit amd dual core with a big better graphics card than yours and he can run it on normal.  I think you will be able to run it on low at the very least.

Make sure whatever setting's you are on disable postproccessing so you can actually aim.  Otherwise it will do this weird dragging thing.
