FPS increase?

So I've been playing DayZ for a while now and I'm wondering if there's any tricks or configs that can help increase my FPS. In ArmA2:OA I can manage ~50+FPS (in towns/cities) all the time running high settings. In DayZ I'm getting ~30 on mostly low, except for when I zoom in which increases it to 50-60. I've used the -maxmem=8192 and the -cpucount=4 tricks, neither of which seemed to help much, and vsync is off. Changing around texture settings, object detail, etc. doesn't seem to make a huge difference either. Running them on all high vs all low only increases my fps by 4-5. Any ideas?

My specs:

core i7 2.8ghz

nvidia GTS 250 1gb

8gb DDR3 ram
