DayZ user modding tools and some wishes/suggestions

Hi guys,

 

I've just joined the forum and I've read some really usefull stuff in here, so hopefully I wont be shot by snipers too often :D

 

Anyway while I was playing I had some ideas regarding what could be done in order to make the game not so linear

 

Disclaimer: I know that the game is still in alpha and it'll be for maybe another year, and maybe what I'll say is in development, so forgive me if I'm saying something that you know its already being made, and since I haven't played the original Arma mod maybe I'm saying something that was already doable there

 

Lets start

 

The first thing that I would like to address is the possibility in the future to mod the game by adding user created content by having a kind of Hammer Editor/UDK/Unity/Cryengine mod tool, in order to add completely new areas, items, weapons, and so on, that would be really cool

 

Other than that I would love to see the possibility to create events/sequences like:

- Randomly generated zombies ordes attack towards a guarded/fortified house/building, which implies the possibility to find near unfinished buildings, construction material that can be used in various ways

- Possibility to build traps in order to kill as many zombies as possible ( holes in the ground covered by leaf-branches )

- Randomly generated events-missions, such as helicopter drops loot, explosions of an electric power plant because of no maintenance, find a specific place/item, and so on

- More Zombies! I don't feel in danger when I'm surrounded by 3 zombies which are easily killed with an axe with a single hit

 

For now thats it
