:huh: And I ask again, how does posting it on the General Discussion forums make the problem more recognizable than bug reporting it/upvoting it on the bugtracker? If you want to discuss it, that is another matter. If you want the problem to be recognised, bug report it buddy.

I don't want to get testy at you, but I don't know why you're persisting with this. Two points, which I have already made clear:

  • I would like to discuss this issue, not just report it. I freely admit I don't even have a clue how to use that bug tracker.
  • Rocket himself seemingly not being aware of something that (judging from my poll) is obvious to the vast majority of players.

I hope this satisfies your questioning around why I have bothered to make this thread. Look at my history, it's not like I make threads for fun, and frankly I am sure nobody would argue that there are enough threads about KoS and cheaters so I'm not sure why you find mine so annoying.

This is a real pain. I don't even bother going into any one story houses other than the red brick tavern and the yellow with blue trim food house.

 

They need to address this and loot respawns before discouraging server hopping and making it to where you starve to death 10-15 mins after spawning as in the experimental version due to release in a couple days. If you're playing on a server that doesnt restart every couple hours you will die before you find anything to eat.

Thanks for starting this topic. I had noticed this that some buildings had no loot spawns in them ever.  I just missed them out in my searches and go to the ones where I know items spawn in.  All buildings should spawn items of some kind in them even with a very small chance of the more desirable ones eg (guns).  You will then want to look in every building.  Plus the high rises could do with a just a few more items in them as at the moment I think for effort to reward they are very poor investment at the moment IMO.

Because of the new town, everywhere is spawning less loot.

 

However the op is correct, there are several buildings that do not spawn loot at all, nor have they since the game was released. There are also multiple areas where loot is spawning in the floor.

The last patch broke a number of buildings, so they never spawn loot right now. :blush:

I haven't starved to death since release of the stand alone and I don't server hop. Given I tend to play on mid capacity servers rather than full so that is probably it so maybe move further in land? There are many many towns and not all of them are going to be looted clean all the time.

 

Having said that I have noticed certain buildings have had loot in them when I went to check. Not sure if that was because it's rarer, people were getting there before me, or it just doesn't spawn anything but im sure it's in good hands either way.

I'm not having a problem with starving to death, certain buildings really are not spawning loot and the list of good buildings seems to get shorter with every patch.

Not even close, I tend to run with my friends in the more northern regions of the map and avoid random players.

Next time you run through an unlooted village take note of which structures have nothing, for example the garages.

So... what does this have to do with certain buildings or rooms not spawning items? I'm sure you've noticed as it's evident in any city on the map.

Sounds like they are getting closer to getting it right than. Food should be an issue. Survival, yada yada....

Yes some buildings dont spawn loot anymore, but others that didn't before do now,

and there are still PLENTY of places to find any type of loot.

I myself have had zero problem staying constantly healthy and stocked.

Well, this affects the small towns much more than Cherno or Elektro (or Zelenogorsk). The cabins, sheds, and non-city block houses are the ones that are missing loot the most. Places that should be reasonably useful to loot, like Staroye or Dolina end up having only two or three useful houses. You go there, loot those houses and get out. Instead, you should be checking every nook and cranny of the towns.

Cars dont spawn loot to! Just saying.

right now the game is like the mod was.2-5 houses spawn loot in towns.

On Twitter Rocket said that they have great improvements for servers... maybe the loot repsawn is finally coming... but after i read further, he said..... more zombies and zombie respawn is coming...

Zombie respawn is the dumbest shit ever especially if they make zombies respawn on the players location...It's so annoying in Dayz mod and so unrealistic...I've noticed too Rocket did a post where he was talking about the loot in log cabins...that's cray cray________I'm not so sure anymore this game is in the right hands lol

There is loot, but it's very predictable. At this point there's 3-4 good house models, and of the others, half may have one or two items, and the other half never, ever, spawn anything.

 

In a small town, you can just loot a couple buildings you know before hand, and walk away with 90% of all the loot in town, and 100% of the weapons. That is plain bad design.

That's it, isn't it. Go to red brick houses, go to mansions, go to piano houses, go to barns, leave with everything. My worry is that a certain kind of house seems to stop spawning loot every time there's an update, like the grey garages did, what will it be next the piano houses or the offices?

Well it shows they are addressing it, but the question is have the code and loot spawns been double checked for issues and tested? Seems like it's just assumed it's working because it is intended to, not necessarily because it was reviewed by the devs.

This is my worry, on stream today he was checking spots that have not spawned loot for the last month...

Your not comprehending or reading what the post is about. The post is about buildings that are not spawning loot ever. Not a lack of loot in the game. Dean has said that all buildings should be spawning loot, it is simply not the case.
