tell the truth, the adrenaline was coursing through your veins and you couldn't wait to pull the trigger, but stop trying to dress it up as something else, you seen a player, decided they need shot for nothing other than your assumption and that was good enough for you to pull the trigger. same for the 2nd guy, you're a stone cold killer.

then I would have blasted the first 3 kids I met instead of giving them gear and directions.

If he is watching over a starter town with a sniper rifle there is a big chance he is a KOSer. So taking him out was probably the safer option. On the other hand, you could have waited and watched him to see what he does and made sure. Then again a lot of people who claim they are "heroes" take out armed people at the coast assuming that they are bandits/KOS'ers.

 

If it was me I would have done the same as you did and not take any chances. If he was that exposed as a sniper he deserves to die either way ;)
