How many rounds in gun & unloading possible?

Recommended Posts

It may sound stupid, but:

1.)

Can you see somewhere how many (if any) bullets are loaded in your gun?

(Because I fail to comprehend the numbers in the upper right corner when I'm holding a gun...)

And:

2.)

Is there a way to unload your gun?

For example: I had a shotgun, got ambushed by a bandit, blew him away with one round and found a sawed-off shotgun in his backpack.

So I wanted to remove the one remaining shell from by old shotgun and put it in my newly acquired sawed-off...but I didn't know how.

Thanks!

I`m sure you can see them in the inventory.

There you can also rightclick and "empty your rounds or detach your mag and then empty it.

Hi mate, so if you have a shotgun it only goes for 2 shots, so it's easy to find out see the link below.

For exemple, this guy have a M4, on the hand slot, you have 2 numbers, one on the upper right thats the key number on your keyboard, and the lower right it probably have one bullet on the chamber, since he doesn't have any bullets on the magazine.

For exemple, the magnun, if you have a speed reloader, you can see how many bullets you have on the speed reloader.

To unload any weapon, you got to have take it into your backpack, so from there you right click and you see unload weapon, IF....the weapon have any bullet, if not, you don't see that "unload weapon".

Ah, allright, I found it....apparently, my guns were empty all along.

After finding some ammo and reloading, I found out that all your descriptions were right all along.

Thanks again.

You can think of it like this: the weapons are containers, just like medkits and protective cases. To see what's inside these you need to hold them in your hand. This can be done by either having them in your hotbar and pressing the number it's on, or by dragging them from the inventory to the hand slot beneath your character's portrait.

Once in your hand, you can remove and add things at will. You can right click ammunition to eject it, or if you use a weapon like the M4 with magazines you can simply remove that.

I believe you can add and remove attachments from your weapon while it's on your shoulder, but I can't remember if you can eject ammo unless you're holding the gun.

When you look at your gun in the inventory, there should be a slot with ammo right underneath it, if loaded. When unloaded there will be no slot at all.
