Bounty Hunter 16 Posted February 1, 2014 Hey guys just wanted to ask a quick question about how i exactly get onto the experimental branches? I've gone to steam/settings/beta participation and allowed it but when i get on Dayz i appear to still be on the stable branch? i'm probably doing something wrong or haven't followed the steps correctly but some advice would be great since i've never tried this :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fear91fin 27 Posted February 1, 2014 Look what version number is shown in dayz menu, top right corner..now it should be 0.33.114855 . If not, restart steam or verify dayz game cache and it should update it. And then try to find experimental server and join. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

darthbane67 92 Posted February 1, 2014 Put in your server filter Experimental under host since the server list still shows stable servers so this will get rid of the extra servers. It takes time for servers to pop up also so give it a bit before refreshing again and again. I know the game is in experimental mode but it still says stable branch in the left corner this is a lie like the cake it is in expermintal. If your character from stable pops up still at title menu this just means you haven't logged into a server yet with your fresh spawn to replace it with. You should not loose your stable branch character I have yet too loose mine. Now some people have said they lost theirs but idk if they are doing things the right way or not or just a alpha bug. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
