Loot-hopping fix? Timer when entering fresh servers

Seeing as how the only time to loot hop is immediately after a server restarts, just add a large timer to anyone who joins and leaves servers within a half-hour/hour of a server reset.

 

If someone server hops for loot on a server that has been running for 3 hours, who the hell cares?

 

It's more than frustrating to race back to town/base within 5 minutes of a restart only to see it bare, and all the zombies huddled together.

 

So if someone joins a fresh server, and leaves within 5 minutes, he should have to sit and wait if he shows a pattern.

This deals more with the issue of ghosting/combat logging than it does with server hopping for loot.

So there is a 30 second delay big whoop.

It's all a moot point. For a while now rocket's had a post up which somewhere deep within the wall of text talks about a balanced in game loot economy.

Without knowing the specifics, this means to me that there will be a specific amount of all loot and it simply won't spawn if the maximum number per specific object has been reached across the shard.

So... go server to server all you want, you won't have any greater chance of finding it than going and checking the next possible spawn location for it.

 

*Gasp* What will people do if loot spawn become mostly randomized after that?? No more guruanteed gun spawn on the third floor of the school-like building, even if one is ready to spawn at all.

 

Think about what even firing a sniper rifle in a populated area would mean in these circumstances. You're public enemy #1 for everyone who wants a sniper rifle.
