vokhine 0 Posted January 31, 2014 Hey I just started Day Z standalone and was wondering if there is any reason to not be turboing all the time? Does turboing make you more tired thirsty hungry etc vs just normal running? Thanks in advance! :D
DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) The speed at which you move currently has no effect on how quickly you lose energy or hydration. That isn't to say that a future update won't cause you to become tired or dehydrated if you run too far too fast. chekovp 89 Posted January 31, 2014 In a video by Frankie he says that turbo is a little bit faster, if that is true I'm sure that is does make you tired faster. I'm not sure if any of this is true though, just a thought.

I'd recommend watching the rest of the videos on that guy's channel, they are extremely informative. The only effect I have seen is that you end up with a blurry screen if you have post processing enabled, otherwise it does nothing to you that walking doesn't. Thanks in advance! :D Personally, I don't believe the speed at which you run currently increases your degradation rates, however I also don't think "turbo" running as you call it is supposed to be there. HOWEVER: YOU NEED TO BE WARY "TURBO RUNNING" ONCE YOU ARE GEARED.when sprinting unaware, you're going to run up on players and they're going to have the advantage. who cares if you're in a tshirt and pants but if you have gear, I would be very wary about when you do this. I personally don't if I have gear unless I'm in a group.

I've found that "fist running" crashes the game and/or kicks you off the server after a while. Maybe that's just me, though, but I don't do it anymore.
