Tips needed from those who are good at the game

Recommended Posts

HI guys, my friend and I are planning on heading out, and getting full gear in one run, we have a route planned, but, as we alll know, things aren't always that easy. I'm here to ask if any of you have any tips for looting, like what homes to search, and how long to spend in one place.

Thanks in advance,

Military buildings + barracks > barns (with the stairs > Towers > Hangars > Houses

And you might want to have a look at this:

Or if you want it the easy way...: http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#3.062.072

open the map and head for the big red circles (and the big yellow ones if you need clothes as well ;))

Edit: meh. Can't type -.- Also I don't know if I'm "good" at the game ;)

if you spawn in the south-east - and thats pretty probable - my favoured route is:

Dolina -> factory -> Polana -> Gorka -> Novy/Stary Sobor -> military base [at this point you should be geared up and hit healthy status] -> Vybor -> NWAF [is the tent city at the airfield still attachment heaven?] -> north through the forest of Bashnya -> new installation north of Bashnya -> east to Gvozdno -> Krasnostav -> NEAF -> Svetlojarsk -> Berezino -> back to Polana

you are now fully geared, healthy, backpack full, and have the options of hitting the east coast for action, move to the woods around Staroye which are a great staging ground for any offensive leading south, or move north-west for some cat&mouse game in the fields..

depending on how comfortable you are around the map and how long you take to check the respective settlements, you might not manage to do the run in one night, but we have a weekend coming up, right? :)

There are a few underused guardhouses sorta in between Balota and the NWAF I like to use when travelling between the two. I usually end up getting more gear from them than I do either air field. One on the east side of Kamenka or Pavolov (sorry I can't remember which one) on the southern tip of Zelenogorsk, and one east of Kabanino both of which have a couple barracks I believe. And there's one that you can't miss if you look up while you're travelling almost directly at the halfway point between the two, no barracks at that location, great view though.

I usually only visit military areas when I need something specific. Basically meaning I don't have to go there. Also when you don't visit military areas you live longer :)  Last time I went for one was because I WANTED a long range scope for my mosin.
