How to open bulletproof cases/medical kits without putting them on the ground

Click the red "X" in the "hands" portion of your inventory if your hands aren't already empty. Drag the medkit/bulletproof case into your hands. You can now access whatever is inside directly. Any items on the ground can be dragged and dropped directly into the box.

 

I believe this also works for ammo boxes.. I don't ever carry them, but I would assume they work in the same way. However, it would be less efficient due to using stacks of bullets that must be loaded into magazines or the gun directly, rather than an item.

 

Alternatively, you can assign each item in the medkit/bulletproof case to a hotkey by dragging the item onto the bar along the bottom with number hotkeys. However, it is more time consuming to do this if you are either moving items or using multiple items.

I just want them to fix this so i can see the ammo in the ammo create so far only half the creates contents is shown QQ (i get nervous putting things on the ground with the surprise server restarts!)

I feel your pain. I have developed a potentially foolish habit of carrying two rifles.

Well, I already knew this a few days ago. Though before that, I was a victim of having a full ammo box getting stuck inside a wall on a police station. Strangely enough, I was on the second floor of the building when I dropped it to view my ammo. Switched to third view for the camera to clip through walls since I couldn't see my ammo box anywhere. Sad to say, I found it on the first floor inside a wall.

These alone are the reason I fear putting anything on the ground, for any reason ever
