Where does everyone go?

Ok so ive been trying to get into this game, my thing is i dont have any buddies who play atm, so trying to do it on my own, i spawn and for the whole time i spend alive i dont see a single human player.

I found a double barrel shotgun once! and died because it wouldnt reload all my character did was start throwing flares as zombies :S

When I first spawn, run into big towns and find gear. Run to NW Airfield. Then back to the woods and survive.

Where do you all go??

First I run around Cherno without a care, then up to stary sobor, then NW airfield, then into the woods. After that I usually make trips into the closest town and build a car. You won't see me anyway, I have ghille and NVGs.
