Can`t Wield Makarov Pistol :(

Hello!

I'm relatively new to the game, and I have a question.

I found a makarov and ammo, but I can`t seem to wield it. The game keeps wanting me to use chemlights so when ever I shoot, I throw a chem light. The makarov is in my secondary weapon slot, but I can't right click it. Does anyone know how I can properly wield it?

Press F to cycle through your weapons. You should see what weapon you have selected in the top right hand corner of the screen.
