cj14 189 Posted January 30, 2014 Well, so...I've seen a lot of people here at the forums debating about KoSers and bandits, and as far as I know I can say this:Bandit is a person who will rob you and probably kill you for your supplies or because you're a possible threatKoSer is a person who will kill you because you're on sight I totally approve bandits, even when I'm a friendly player, bandits are part of the game...but why the fuck would you KoS? specially the bambis, they're fresh spawns...they just want some water! 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
LaughingJack (DayZ) 767 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) I don't KoS but I can answer that ;) a) people are bored, because they can gear up extremly fast ( and even faster with server hopping) and after that ,there is not much more to do besides killing other players b) if you kill everyone you see, you'll will not be killed by them if they see you c) Maybe they have something - so kill them first, so they can't combatlog and check what's left on their bodies. d) Some maybe just don't have a clue that DayZ is not an FPS... At least point c will be better after the next patch (all "ruined" staff no more useable -and things get ruined if you are shot) and the logout timer...so both parties have in that case something to worry about. seekeronpc 3 Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) The things is ,if you want to survive you have to reduce exposure to threatening players /situations,if you walk on up to every armed guy you see you are gonna spend most of your time running around in pants and tshirt looking for a can of tuna,So either you start surviving which will include taking out players which are a threat (in Military Bases or Airfields this will be everyone with a gun ),or you die ,respawn and then come on here crying like a little bitch because another player, better at surviving than you, blew your brains out....... Earlier I found some guy running around a town with nothing but a fire extinguisher and after making him keep his distance for a bit, I decided he wasn't a threat and even offered him an extra magnum I had on me (which, of course, when dropped it fell through the floor >_< ) and offered to give him a bit of protection on the way to an airfield. I ran into a building and he disappeared on me. Met another guy with nothing and took him to an airfield when we ended up having our server go down. Took a break for a bit, came back logging in at the airfield and within 2 minutes I took a mosin shot to the head. So much for doing good deeds ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
