Lack Of Points Of Interest (Central Map Part)

So we have 5 military points in the west (zeleno, green mountain, military base pavlovo, northwest airfield and Vybor Military Base) and we got 3 points of interest in the east (berenzihno, rify, svetlo and north east airfield)

 

But in the center of the map around moglievka or Stary isn't that much stuff which could be interesting in any way at the moment. One could say electro and cherno are in the center of the map but they are down at at the beach... It would be nice to have something unique there too but please not anymore military loot. It's already to much...

 

Suggestions:

 

make moglievka bigger, make something like a big shopping mall there where you can find loads of clothes and normal survival gear like food, drinks, crafting stuff, outdoor-shop where you find tents and hiking loot etc...You could add a parking near the shopping mall where one could find a lot of car spwans and repair parts...

 

Or industrial area where you can find all sorts of stuff (later for basebuilding/lock up houses)

 

Or some holiday resort (people of chenarus had no holidays?!!)

 

Or (my favourite): Add a big castle (or make zup much bigger) where you could find old russian swords, daggers and spears form the time of the Zar and the kingdoms in russia. A place where some survivors tried to lock them self in so you will also find pistols or a hunting rifle but mainly old medival gear. Certainly a lot of these gear would be badly damaged or ruined due to the age of the gear.

I think some small towns and cities wouldn't be too bad in those areas you mention, but if I remember correctly this will be added later into the game :)

Stary/Novy could really use something, I used to love that place in the mod but I never even bother going there in SA.

They should just combine the 2 towns and make a large city, add a bunch of civilian weapon-spawns(mosin/shotgun/whatever else is being added) which would really improve the middle of the land which has no use right now, it would also move the action more north instead of being centered around Elektro.

People in forums are funny... i do not know if some people are really stupid or not but the word suggestion means that you offer an opnion to someone and they can think about it and probably chage their mind...

 

It's not meant to be on the stable immidately or something.. You are supposed discus if it's needed or not to improve the middle area of the chenarus+ map and you are not supposed to talk all about my suggestions here... they are just ideas which could help you imagine what could be there...

I have to agree with this thread, there is WAY too much unused space on the map. I don't know the capability of adding more models and buildings than there already is and imaginably anything too big is just likely to cause further performance issues for the server, Which I think most people experience. But I'd like to see some imagination put into some really unique area's, perhaps even ones with references to real life events, movies, characters etc. Possibilitys are endless.

There are also a lot of locations that currently lack loot spawns.  Perhaps once they start adding that into the game it could make it more interesting out there.
I would love to start finding stuff in Deer Stands, cabins & small farm houses.

 

I have noticed though.. When spawning on the shore of a busy server finding every house picked clean.  Only to find fresh spawns left over flash lights. :P
Spending that extra time running In-Land to those inner tiny towns completely un-touched.
Even with a passing visitors prior to mine it appears they must of had enough items on them to leave behind gear.

I do suggest that a sporting goods depot for clothes, ammo, and canteens may be found, but then again, Chernarus seems like B.F.E. anyway so why would a mall or industry be out there? That parking lot idea is brilliant! Have no completely working vehicles but be able to get parts to get one working.

 

Let it be an open area as-well, then you can feel paranoid about being sniped in a second or not. 

 

And for f***s sake, Please stop being so ill constructive and just saying NO! Damn!

Yeah, the map is really unimaginative and bland. And the "larger" buildings that the game does have are all boring and ridiculously small.

Even the small slaughterhouse in my old commie countryside town was bigger than the military airfield compound this game.

 

I wish they redid all the bigger buildings and actually made them big, so you could explore them for more than 5 seconds.

The map is not finished at all, cities will be reworked and all kind of new stuff added all around the map. They just started in the West.

Big buildings are also planned.

I don't think that the map needs to full of "points of interest".  It should be like a map of country, with plenty of boring "middle-of-nowhere" countryside. Only things I think could be placed somewhere near the middle are 1) firestation, 2) civilian hostipital. And that it because it seems to me such things would be logical in those locations.

 

In short, I'd prefer "logical" map to ad hoc "interesting" one..
