First time spawned without a gun..

And I love it. I thought im gonna hate it but I was wrong. Its intense...and not hard at all. I spawned in Elektro, ran into the fire station with 1 zombie chasin my ass, couldnt get upstairs because some jerk put a wire inside, I've lost 2k of blood because of the zombie..then I ran into the store, found makarov+4 mags, shitload of food and water, a crowbar...then went to the hospital for some blood packs, checked the second fire station..and got killed by a guy with M16 or something. Then I spawned in cherno, and I found a dead body with a gun and suplies in a first house I came into. Maybe I'm just lucky, but the game seems to easier when you spawn now since zombies stop chasing you when you get to a building..and the whole coast is a graveyard + spawn rates seem to be bigger...supplies..supplies everywhere..

yay its easy the more you know the mechanics but as a new player to dayz AND arma i can tell you, you are fucked without a gun at start. you cant correct your errors by shooting a town of Zs down you are dead the first times you pull Zs. after X deaths you recognzize how to lose them and how to use buildings to your advantages but to be able to get a complete gear for several hour survival you need to learn around hundred hard deaths how to use game interface, where the loot is, Z evading tactics and so on. its the hardest start i ever had in a game. but it is still fun. and i didnt even manage to get to the inside of the country.,, much to learn and see for me.

People need to understand that:

1. It is not hard to find a weapon when you spawn.

2. You do not need a pistol to survive.

3. You need patience in looking for weapons.

it took me about 4 deaths and 5 hours of gameplay to get a gun, and then another death and 2 hours to learn how to get around w/o a weapon. The gun i got was gained from complete luck, i was running around in cherno suicidally, and found a makrov in the corner, along with a crossbow, when moments later a player with a winchester came in and shot me in the face :(

I don't find it really intense. I suppose it would be if you sneak around a lot. Try a much safer method... full out sprint. Go into buildings that have another exit, grab the first axe you see (they are everywhere maybe 3 or 4 buildings max), turn to the door and hack the zombie train from 6 or so feet away (yes the axe has range). You now have a weapon and a few cans of food and maybe even a hunting axe and watch.

Now slow down if you want. I personally find the sprint works better even at this point. Snipers love slow-moving crouched targets. I die far less at a running pace than I did when going stealth mode. It is possible to fully gear up in Cherno then head north. This is when I personally slow down.

I have had no trouble in finding guns at all. Found many weapons, enfields, shottys and even auto's like m16 and mp5s all in the major citys at tents/firestations.

Cant seem to find those dam cz tho.
