Reaperz67 1 Posted January 28, 2014 Hi, I recently bought DayZ literally like 2 days ago off Steam. Game downloaded fine and everything was really looking forward to playing it, go to choose a server of choice (Preferably I wanted a populated one) and I am stopped by a single message every single f***in time. I've scoured the internet for a solution to this, replaced the BE.client.dll files in the steam directory where DayZ is. I also tried unistalling DayZ after that made no difference, and once reinstalled verifyed the game cache and logged back on to try again. SAME message.... So not giving up there I decided to try downloading the BE.Server.dll file also and pasted it into both the steam directory, and my local AppData where the DayZ folder also resides. (Yes I am pasting these files in the BattlEye folder) This is my last port of call before I ask for a refund off steam as the game is unplayable. I read BattlEye's website in the support section and very little support I found. I do not have any anti-virus software enabled when running the game, so the last thing I can think of is that BattlEye is trying to get permission to run, and my computer won't let it. Dafuq. Gugolas 228 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Also try to leave a copy of those 2 files on the desktop and in the game folder (not the BE one).I know it has no damn sense, but when I had similar problems with some servers on the mod, that worked for me...trying is free.I'll think about this over night but atm I don't have a clue of what is causing your problem :(Let's hope somebody has an idea! Reaperz67 1 Posted January 29, 2014 Hi, I managed to fix the problem after awhile after enabling/disablsing the User Account control settings in windows 7, and changing the priority of those settings on a brand new administrator profile on my machine. It seems that BattlEye has a real tendency to demand all privileges on your OS. So it can scan your system for any underlying hack/programs you might have running. After fixing this issue, I realised perhaps my own PC isn't as secure as I thought and I had to delete my original admin profile as it had become corrupt, and wouldn't allow me to delete, paste, certain files in the AppData folder.. However I know people are having similar problem to me, but very hard to say whether it's the same issue as me, but that's how I fixed it for anyone else who reads this. Creating a new user admin profile on PC, go to control panel > User Accounts > Change user account control settings, mine was set to blocking pretty much anything that it didn't like routing through my PC. So I changed it to allowing programs through everything (The top one) and enabled suitable anti-virus software, After that I connected to BattlEye's network fine and played on multiple servers.
