Therefore i suggest to have current direct channel (50m range?) as "shout" and create another called "talk" with range of about 10 meters. Realism,right? The real problem is, that nearly everybody has a crappy mic. Seriously? You could simply make the shout sound fade from 100meter min to 0meter max volume. And the talk from 10meter min to 0meter max.
