This is the same as my current issue. I am currently working through mine to get optimal settings. If you look at what I wrote you will probably find something helpful. However, my work is imperfect. Once I have perfected optimization of my own settings for my own pc, I will post everything. These may be useful to others in your situation later.

This is a classical issue BTW and you can learn a lot by searching. My thread is just an abbreviation of the research I did, and is not yet totally complete for usefulness to others.

Good news is: Its not your hardware, its that ArmA engines are all non-optimal for the types of computers we have.

The engine is designed in such a way that the best computer for it would basically be a super fast ghz multi core processor like a server, with hundreds of gigs of RAM, with a nearly vestigial graphics card that just renders texture and AA effects.

The good news is you CAN achieve a totally playable state which is a perfect balance of decent graphics, further than you can shoot visibility, and 40+ FPS. Unfortunately you just need to do this optimization manually.

Also, thats your job as a tester and its pretty much your duty, when you get to that point, to post your results. If you don't, being a tester is meaningless.

Sorry, but in my opinion this has nothing to do with things you have written on your posts. This is a glitch, not well-known-fact about overall bad performance/engine.

And that's why I wonder if anybody has found any solution for this? I know two persons with different GPUs (GF and Radeon) wrestling with this problem. We have already tried to update GPU drivers, reinstall the game etc. Nothing works. First it only occured when playing 1st person (HC). Now, after the latest patch (0.49.124971), it occurs all the time with 1st AND 3rd person -modes. Unlike the OP said, there's no need to relaunch the game, changing texture settings is enough - for a moment (also shift + Num- and then flush works). Then it occurs again. And again. Every couple of mins.

And this is actually the only topic about this glitch I have even found... The Google seems not to be my friend with this :(

E: Seems to be same problem as here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/211326-texture-bug/

Hello, yeah exactly the same problem, I feel better to know that's not my hardware making this problems and that other people re in the same situation.. meaning the problem from dayz and ll be resolved.

Sometimes just to change some settings makes the textures back, like change clouds disabled to high and back to disabled, same for shadow. I dont know why but it's working but only for 10 20 mins..
