Do animals still make zombie noises?

Title says it all. Are there still random zombie noises from animals? Or should I say AnimalZ?

I hear zombie noises way up on the northern highway sometimes, but I can never tell if its bugged sounds or the animalZ issue.

There are random zombie noises sometimes, I think it's mostly due to server lag or something. It does certainly not come from animals however as they are not in the game yet ;) Except some birds and rabbits, but that's just pixels.

I have been playing hardcore and listening for sounds is so much more important when first person.
