Melee interaction & Bandit model\skin

Recommended Posts

Most of the wild life (cows, goats) spawns near villages and farms, shotting with a rifle or a pistol for kill an animal is not producing. Because if you shoot all players in the range of 200-300m will hear you and if you are near zombies is even worst. It will be ease if you can backstab an animal with your hunting knife to take him out.

Same thing happend for the hospital's windows.

Another thing is the bandit model. Why did you chose the OA German's rifleman as a bandit skin for a location like that? You should consider the model of the Guerrilla's rifleman, is more in "theme" with Chernarus.

There is always the Black Turban elite Takistani soldier.

Looks way mor suitable' date=' in my opinion.

Just no.

The KSK one looks rather banditish. Its perfect how it is.

I agree with this. As far as I remember, and it's been a couple of years, the ACE guys made a backwards-compatible backpack system that worked with vanilla Arma2 models that otherwise lacked the proxy. Which, if true, means a (much, much better) bandit skin is available, specifically the guerrilla rifleman Blackbut mentioned.

Either doable from scratch or the ACE guys might be willing to share the backpack system to be adapted to DayZ. I'll certainly write and ask if that's possible, since that would definitely make it way more immersive than some guy in desert flecktarn running around with a bunch of tacticool pouches and a radio.

We are concentrating on actually getting the core of the mod working, as opposed to adding in aesthetics.

Hence the offer to take the initiative (which I've done) to be followed up at your leisure. No sense not rolling out those bug fixes, but also no sense not looking towards opportunities for the future.

We aren't whining, honestly, the fixes have been great and all, and I'm wondering if you people actually have a sleep schedule, but gamers like shiny things, it's just our reward-based psychology.
