video problems?

when trying to run dayz stand alone I just get a blank screen and the sound I think the problem is my monitor/TV can only handle 59 Hz. I need to change this somehow before starting the game how can I do this?

Edit dayz.cfg in your documents/dayz folder try window mode change Windowed=0; to Windowed=1; or change screen res there also.

Documents > DayZ > DayZ.cfg

 

Open it with WordPad or you preferred text editor.

 

Change the following line...

 

refresh=60;
 

to

 

refresh=59;
 

Save the document and run the game.
