Zombie small interior spawn rate

It's frustrating how I had to travel 5km back and forth (I was inland) to find an interior with food just to realize there's a zombie in it (It happened 3 times)

Okay, it would be acceptable if I started out with a weapon, however there's not much I can do with a Flashlight.

Why not lower the spawn chance of zeds in VERY small interiors?

That excludes firestations etc. but includes "gas-station counter" buildings or the regular houses.

There are ways you can draw them out then lose them even if you don't have a gun.. It's tough if thats the only building around though. I've lost zombies by running through trees and dropping to prone at the right moment but it's still kinda hard to do (till they make zombies a little less hyper-aware of you, which it sounds like they're working on). But yeah it's frustrating.
