Information in game files I found.

I just used 10 minutes looking at the game files and it's filled with things that aren't even in the game yet, there were all king of files of cows, deer and eagles. There also was files of self made ballistic vests, police vests and all sort of things. Even of M1 abrams tank, but that might just been a wreckage not usable as a vehicle. If you don't believe me just go look at the files yourself and you might see what kind of things are coming.

Might sound silly but, it could be config files for future updates that haven't been fully completed yet? I don't know fure sure but that's my opinion of why those files are there. At least we know SOME of the updates that might come to DayZ

the files have been datamined for many weeks, we have screenshots of the untextured models, and we have discussions..

 

check http://r2.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1t9dt4/heres_a_full_list_guns_vehicles_items_etc/ for example for a comprehensive list of the items.. (thats from a month ago)
