baron334 17 Posted January 26, 2014 First I want to thank the guy in the NE airfield that I just met a few minutes ago. I have played a few times mostly with friends and I log on tonight to find myself gearless and back on the coast. So I start searching houses heading north while I find not one thing until I hit berezino. I find a backpack and some rags and decide to head to the NE airfield a place a friend took me and it had some decent items. Upon arriving at the airfield I find it empty and I began to look around. I find a helmet and some ammo, then a .45 pistol but no clip so in the middle of my searching the control tower I hear footsteps and suddenly there is a guy looking at me with a pistol in his hand. Here is how the exchange went down. Him - "Are you armed?"Me- "No, I just have an ax and a .45 with no clip"*he looks at me for a minute then drops a .45 clip on the ground*Him- "Merry Christmas"Me - "Thanks so much, I just tried to open a can of sardines and lost it"Him- "Is there anything else your short on"*then a thud, the sound of high velocity metal careening through a human body, his body slups to the floor in front of me, dead from a snipers bullet* At that point I run down the stairs and load my pistol while aiming at the door. I sit there a few minutes trying to decide what to do next before I decide sticking around the airfield is a bad idea so I rush out the door and run like crazy toward the trees. To the guy in the NE Airfield who was a nice guy and took a bullet I thank and salute you. I have played this game for about 10 hours and I have 4 pretty defining moments that have made me fall in love with it. I know its not even close to finished but so far it has been an intense game for me. My only downside I have seen at all is night time seems completely unplayable to me and since I play I night I am forced to search for servers in other time zones. I just wanted to share my story and say thanks to a person who did a good deed and died for it. I hope he doesn't think I was apart of it and choose to just shoot people from now on.
TheLastEmp 295 Posted January 26, 2014 I"ve had more friendly encounters than hostile ones after 60+ hours of playing... Tons of fantastic character interaction. We'll see how these things evolve as they keep adding weapons and other mechanics.
