does the server version info work?

Several servers say 1.7.1.5 and a beta version in their name but in the version field down right it sais 1.60 and no beta version is displayed?

While on several other servers the actual beta version is displayed like 1.60.93965.

I havent dared to join one of these servers with only 1.60 before because I didnt want to risk ending up in debug because of a wrong version.

But died the other day and I thought hey I can test it now because there is a alot of servers that have 1.60 in the version field and stated 1.7.1.5 in their name and a bet version. And it seems to work.

Can servers run 1.7.1.5 without having a correct beta version of arma? And why isnt this displayed in the version field then?
