$700-$800 PC Build for Dayz SA Help

Recommended Posts

Hey looking to build a PC for dayz standalone. Have about a $700 to $800 budget. Do not need a mouse, keyboard, monitor, or operating system. Any help is much appreciated. Would like to stay with Intel for the CPU and Nivida for the GPU.  Do not want to have to overclock if I can help it and will not be using dual monitors.

This should run DayZ standalone once it is optimized on pretty much max settings with 30+ FPS. If you are sure you don't want to overclock then  go with it or something similair, but overclocking your CPU would probably help a lot in DayZ/Arma so I'd switch the CPU out for a 4670k for like 30 more bucks.

This guy custom builds. I have had him do PC's for me in the past, as he only lives an hour away.  This computer I linked is a little more than you wanted to spend ($850) and it AMD based processor, but it will smoke through this game, and anything else you wanna throw at it in the next 2-3 years.

That thing will blow in 2-3 years.

They way I see it I would already be spending a lot of money so why not get one of the better graphics cards so it will last longer. Then you could even try SLI/Crossfire a few years down the road.

While I don't have specific specs handy, it's pretty easy to put together a budget gaming PC that will run DayZ perfectly well. Currently putting together a new system myself, and with some careful shopping and price matching, it looks like I'll only be paying around 600$ CAD for a fairly tasty system, including a gtx 670 (one of the most expensive item on menu at 95$).
