Tabinator 20 Posted January 25, 2014 Hey Folks, I saw a lot of crying about the last patch in the forum ("Why did they add this and not fixing that" and so on) I felt like I wanna suggest something for the future ones. At first: Let them develope it the way they like it. Its their game and they know how to work and how to proceed. But, the best way to develope with community, would be, to satify the community. So, Mr. Rocket, in my opinion it would be very nice if there is a new "stable"-patch once or twice a month (exept for any hotfixes). So everyone would know when patchday is and then there might is the change they crave for or not but they know it might be in the next which will follow two weeks (or four) later (and so on and on and on...). Overall, an update on when to expect which fix and which content would be very desirable!! :) What do you think? :beans:
Monkfish (DayZ) 339 Posted January 25, 2014 They will release the updates as and when they deem them stable enough for release, not based on some arbitrary timescale of updates. Be patient, the game is only six or so weeks into Alpha release and we've already seen a number of updates.
Tabinator 20 Posted January 25, 2014 Dont get me wrong. I was just thinking regulary updates will keep the players more satisfied and more patient with the developing-process.
Korsbaek 1778 Posted January 25, 2014 The problem with a patch release date is that there could be problems with the patch which they find on, or a couple of days before, release day. I want my patches to be good, not unfinished.

I want my patches to be good, not unfinished. Best way would be to go with beta-patch till maybe once monthly a "big" Stable-Patch goes out. Should give them really much time for testing. They might start with a beta-patch at the beginning of the month which includes many stuff. They fix, lets say, every week more and more of the problems caused due to new content and fixes in ongoing beta-patches untill the release at the end of the month a full new stable-patch with everything they have managed to finish till then. How about that?
