Gear selection issue

Not sure if there is a setting or something i need to adjust but,

When in the gear menu i have issues using items if they are on the far left of the section. Example would be when you respawn i cant use the single bandage because when i select it the text options are covered/obscured by the other spaces so i cant see the words or select / use the item. I have same option in the gear belt. When i select the hatchet and i want to equip it as melee weapon i see the green box fro the 2 selected options but can't select them. As inventory fills up i can use newer items because i can see the options as they are further over to the right.

Other issue would be sometimes when putting some new items into inventory or belt, like hunting knife, all my ammo drops to the ground.

Probably something simple, but have played with a couple graphic options, make ui bigger etc but hasn't changed things
