Dayz currently uses a first name as my user name in game, I do not want this how can I change it to my steam profile name?

This caught me, too. It's kind of in the release notes.

It's oddly simple. Just click on your name in e lower right corner on the start up screen. It's editable there and you can change I to whatever you'd like.

When you first start the game, look to the lower right corner, see your name, click, you will see the cursor flash, back space off what you dont want and type in the new.
