Crashed/malfunctioning servers cause a character wipe.

It happened twice today - if the server in question has connection problems (ie. you stay in "Waiting for host" for a period of time). Pressing ESC will give you same menu as if the character in question was dead/unconscious (option to respawn is available). At this point no matter what you do your character will be marked as dead (disconnecting does the same thing). It is not caused by a zombie or player attack, it happened on an empty server (0/40 players), on the top of an office building.

 

There is no text saying "You are dead", only "Waiting for Host".

The server had a message in red saying that the restart didn't complete correctly and an admin has been notified.
