Slightly out-dated character; best case?

I have read a few threads about what state someones character was in after the patch.  The first few servers I tried to join just started me as a new spawn.  I would assume this has to do with which hives those happen to be on.

 

Eventually I got to a server that did have my character, but it was how he was several days ago (low health and no gun, unfortunately).  I was simply wondering if anyone had been able to get their character back as it was the day before the update.

 

It would make sense that if they pulled data backups from a few days before, then thats the best I can hope for.

I had the same thing. After the server host mess, I logged into my favorite server as a fresh spawn. So I guess, goodbye to my old character. I think that is the best case scenario for a saved character at this point.

 

I personally don't really care about restarting. It took me 20 minutes to get a backpack, clothes, food + water, a shotgun and ammo.

Yes from what I've heard it is the best case scenario. I've got rolled back from a pretty geared guy to a guy that was bleeding and out of health and just about to jump off a silo, just my luck. But like already said above, it's not that hard to gear up, backpacks are a little scarcer but they still spawn around.

I had that happen on the server I usually play on also. Played for 4 hours, logged off, logged back in about 30 minutes later to a new spawn with a totally different appearance and genitalia to my default. Shut the game down and was looking around here. Restarted the game, logged into the same server and was greeted with my old character back from the dead but with the same gear and same area as before the 4 hour game session.

 

Needless to say I logged off again.
